Finished. Not Over.

Date: Mar. 9, 2026

Author: Dan Bockenfeld

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
-John 19:30

We live in a world that never feels finished — always striving, always performing, always trying to measure up. But on the cross, Jesus declared, “It is finished.” The debt of sin was paid. The work of redemption was complete. Nothing was left undone.

But the story didn’t end there.

Three days later, the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. The resurrection proved that sin was defeated, death was conquered, and Jesus is alive.

And that victory didn’t stay in the first century. The same gospel that accomplished salvation through the cross and resurrection still has power today — power to forgive, power to transform, and power to bring new life.

This Easter retreat is an invitation to step into that reality.

Come to Him — because the work has already been finished.
Die with Him — because your old life does not get the final word.
Rise with Him — because the power of the resurrection is still at work.

The cross finished the work.
The tomb proved the victory.
And the gospel still has power to change lives today.
